Hello. My name is Ashley. I am a Behavior Professional with Among Friends. Before joining the Among Friends team, I spent 5 years as a caregiver in an Advanced Neurological Adult Foster Home, and almost 5 years as a Youth Residential Specialist. Working in Youth Residential opened my eyes and heart to the mental/behavioral health field, and it is because of that, that I am currently working towards obtaining my bachelor's degree in ABA. I have taken several trainings focused on trauma informed care, suicide prevention and crisis communications, all of which help me to provide well rounded Behavior supports. Helping others is my greatest passion, and I am thrilled to be a part of Among Friends and help those that we serve to the best of my ability.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time and sharing laughs with my friends, binging my favorite shows or movies, and hanging out with my dog, Oakley. I enjoy cooking and baking, and previously operated my own bakery making custom cakes/cupcakes. I love to travel, and am always looking forward to my next trip.
Within my work I believe it is imperative to display empathy and have integrity. I look forward to meeting you and helping you live your best life.

I worked as a Residential Behavior Specialist for a youth residential facility. This position is what sparked my passion for mental/behavioral health.

My philosophy is to treat everyone with compassion, empathy and kindness. And to always work on myself, continuing to grow as a person.

I orchestrated a field day event for my clients who had never gotten the chance to experience one before. It ended up having a huge impact on the clients and the staff creating lasting relationships and memories.

I have two very profound professional mentors, that have taught me so much and that have shaped me into the person I am today. They have guided me to be better, they have supported me in every way imaginable, and have become two of my closest friends.

I love hanging out with my friends, reading in my hammock, painting, cooking, and spending summer days at the lake or the river.

I have a 7yo Husky/Border Collie mix. His name is Oakley. Oakley has epilepsy which causes him to have seizures. He hates when I take pictures/videos of him, only wants to cuddle on his terms, has a serious attitude problem, and is the goofiest dog I've ever known. He is my soul dog and my best friend.

I am originally from Las Vegas, NV. My family and I moved to Oregon shortly after I turned 12 to help some family out. Oregon is definitely home to me and it's hard to imagine ever living anywhere else.

Quarantine was interesting for me, as I was an essential worker. It impacted my personal life some because I enjoyed going out and doing things, and not being able to limited my social life. But I was thankful to get to continue working through quarantine and having that social life with my coworkers.

I have traveled to Mexico three times and have drove cross country twice. I absolutely loved Mexico and hope to go back many more times. I loved being immersed in the culture and getting to experience new things. When driving cross country, I was able to see many sights and experience new things as well. I hope to have to opportunity to travel more.

My first concert was Jake Miller, he pulled me on stage and I got to sing with him. I was 20.

Favorite movies are all Marvel movies up to End Game. I love the Marvel Universe, I love the action and comedy in the movies. And the casting is so perfect for every role.

I make a Peruvian chicken with green sauce and rice that I love. It is so fresh and delicious.
