FREE Introductory Training: Understanding Supports for Disability and Sexuality
This training hosted by Among Friends, LLC.
This is an introductory training to learn about positive, proactive, and person-centered supports for someone with ID/DD or other complex needs regarding healthy relationships and healthy sexual development.
We'll start with a brief overview of our agency's programs and services. Next, we'll explain why it is critical to provide social-sexual supports - including what happens when we don't. Then we'll give real-life examples of what these services look like and have an open discussion for participants to ask questions or gather more information.
We can provide trainings and consultation services to anyone, anywhere. To learn more about our work, join us for this FREE Introductory Training.
Bi-Monthly Meet and Greet - in both Oregon and Washington
The Among Friends Behavior Services Team and Positive Supports Team invite you to join us for our bi-monthly introduction to services and meet & greet via Zoom. Learn more about the services & supports we provide and meet members of our staff.
Do you support someone who needs social-sexual support services about any of the following?
While we support individuals with all types of behaviors, our specialty is providing strategies and resources for social-sexual supports; such as:
Relationships, dating safety, communication, recognizing unhealthy and healthy behaviors in relationships
Boundaries, consent, internet safety, safe sex practices, gender identity
Concerning sexualized behaviors and maladaptive sexual behaviors
And much, much, more!
Each meet and greet session will include:
A short presentation about the services that Among Friends provides
Time for questions and answers
(Please note: you are welcome to turn your camera off during the session and ask questions in the chat if you do not wish to be seen/heard.)

Introduction to Behavior Services in Oregon
Do you have questions about the services that Among Friends provides in Oregon?
Medicaid funded (K-plan) services, including Functional Behavior Assessments, Positive Behavior Support Plans, and Ongoing Supports.
Private Pay Consultation (funding from any other source) This can include working directly with the individual or their family/team/supporting agency
The bi-monthly sessions are held the following days/times (specific dates are on the RSVP Form):
1st Tuesday of the month, 11:30 am - 12 pm
3rd Wednesday of the, 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Do you have questions about the services that Among Friends provides in Washington?
Waiver Services offered through the Washington Department of Social and Health Services, Developmental Disabilities Community Services
Technical assistance (TA) contracts (Service Alternatives), Private Pay Consultations, etc.
The sessions will be held on the following days/times (specific dates on the RSVP Form)
2nd Wednesday of the month, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm, PT
4th Tuesday of the month, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, PT
