Nourished Heart Collective

Sam teaches embodied consent skills through experiential learning at Nourished Heart Collective. They trained at the Atlanta Institute of Tantra, Consent Wizardry, and Voltage Control Facilitation. They presented a history of consent and the paradigm shift from permission-based consent to gift/reciprocity-oriented consent. We look forward to folding this information into our work with vulnerable people!

Dr. Sejdic presented her new book, When Spoons Are Low. She is a parent and special education administrator with a background in special education, juvenile justice education, and postsecondary disability services. She is a SHARE Instructor and Sexual Self-Determination Certification Program Participant.

David & Christine talked about their most recent experience teaching the SHARE Curriculum. Their presentation included information about the changes they made to the curriculum and the they tools used to better facilitate the training based on their audience and the technology they had available.

Leah Carey talked about women’s sexuality and sex surrogacy. Her 2019-2024 podcast, Good Girls Talk About Sex, featured women of all different types sharing stories about their sexuality. Her work has been featured on CNN, Newsweek, The Washington Post, and the Savage Lovecast.

Courtney talked about herpes stigma and the work his nonprofit, Something Positive for Positive People, is doing to support people with herpes. His mission is to “provide a safe space for people to heal, connect, and reclaim their confidence while challenging the stigma associated with herpes and other sexual health concerns.”

Raegan is a graduate of Tier 3: TRAIN-THE-TRAINER. She presented a communication technique that was developed by the team at Multiamory called R.A.D.A.R. The technique was developed for people in non-monogamous relationships, but it works well for any type of relationship.

Morrigan presented the Friendships & Dating Curriculum. The curriculum was developed by the University of Alaska UCEDD. It is “an evidence-based, comprehensive approach to teach individuals with ID/DD the skills needed to develop meaningful relationships and prevent interpersonal violence.

Dr. Dacker presented her STARS Talk, “a framework that helps one to have meaningful and intimate, consent-based discussions that are vital for healthy relationships​​​​​.” Her concierge medical practice, Wild Woman Wellness Medicine, focuses on women’s health as “a dynamic, ongoing journey of self-discovery, healing, and transformation.”​

She talked about her experience with the program and answered questions for current participants interested in moving forward in the program. Zach and Angelina presented the tools that they developed during Tier 2: ADVOCACY in 2023. They created two brochures with a focus on navigating sites like OnlyFans as safe as possibly. The three-brochure series is called OnlyFUN! And is available for T2 graduates.

Misha, a Tier 3: TRAIN-THE-TRAINER graduate, presented information about the criminal justice system and the struggles within the system for vulnerable people. She works as a Social Navigator for The Arc of Benton County.
