Building a Safety Net of Trusted Advocates for Vulnerable Adults
Description:
There are some things that vulnerable adults may not want to discuss with their parents or support professionals - especially regarding relationships and sexuality. But it can be incredibly dangerous if they don’t talk to someone who can help them discern risks, rewards, and unforeseen consequences. This training will focus on building a safety net to offer vulnerable adults trusted advocates with whom they can discuss personal topics, and it will emphasize the advocates’ role in balancing a person’s safety with their legal rights.
