Connecting Medical, Mental, and Sexual Health

I appreciated the importance of clarity and specificity in defining relationships and “appropriate” behavior.
— The Arc of Oregon participant

Description:

There is an international movement to recognize the importance of reproductive and sexual health which has important implications for medical and mental health clinicians and patients. And, there’s a clear need for medical and mental health professionals to address sexual development, but most have not received adequate (or any) training regarding how to approach these critical topics.

This training will help medical and mental health professionals explore proactive strategies for supporting the sexual health of patients of all ages, with extra tips and tools for supporting patients who identify as sexual or gender minorities and/or who experience cognitive disabilities or disorders.
