Let’s Talk About Sex! – For Professionals

This is a hard topic and you handled it so well. It is so important to have these types of conversations, even when parents and clients are uncomfortable with exploring the subjects! Thank you!
— Oregon DDA Children's Team participant

Description:

It can be incredibly difficult to know what to do when you need to talk with a client and/or their family about sex and sexuality. Professionals often feel awkward trying to start a dialogue about sexuality, bodies, gender, and relationships, and are understandably concerned about their professional liability, but are also worried about their client’s health and safety, and capacity to consent. Learn to navigate these difficult and sometimes contentious issues with more ease and confidence.
